At RP, we're committed to providing competitive, flexible benefits that support teammates and their families. While healthcare costs continue to rise nationwide, we're pleased that our healthcare plan costs remain below national averages. This reflects both thoughtful plan management and the important role teammates play in choosing high-quality, cost-effective care.

As we look ahead to 2027, some plan costs and provisions will change to help maintain comprehensive coverage while supporting the long-term sustainability of the benefits program. Our goal remains the same: providing meaningful healthcare options that balance quality, choice, and affordability.

What this means for you: Review your 2027 medical plan options, coverage levels, and costs carefully during Open Enrollment so you can select the coverage that best meets your needs. Taking time to compare options and seek high-quality, cost-effective care can help keep healthcare affordable for everyone.

If you enroll in the Anthem High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum will increase in 2027.‍

  • Annual in-network deductible: Increasing to $3,000 for individual coverage, $3,500 for individual within a family, and $6,000 for family coverage
  • Annual out-of-network deductible: Increasing to $6,000 for individual coverage, $7,000 for individual within a family, and $12,000 for family coverage
  • Annual in-network out-of-pocket maximum: Increasing to $5,000 for individual coverage, and $10,000 for family coverage

What this means for you: If you are currently enrolled in the HDHP or are considering it for 2027, factor these higher amounts into your expected healthcare expenses when comparing your medical plan options.

Effective January 1, 2027, Unum will replace Prudential as RP's carrier for Life, AD&D, and Disability benefits. Your current coverage will automatically transition to Unum, so no action is required if you wish to keep your existing elections.

Why this is great news: As part of the transition, teammates who enroll in or increase eligible Life and Disability coverage during Open Enrollment will have a special opportunity to elect coverage as if they were a newly eligible employee, which may allow coverage without certain enrollment limitations that typically apply after initial eligibility.

What this means for you:

  • No action is required to maintain your current coverage.
  • Existing elections will automatically move to Unum effective January 1, 2027.
  • Open Enrollment is a great time to review whether additional coverage may be right for you and your family.

The waiting period for Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits is decreasing from 14 days to 7 days. You’ll also pay less for STD coverage in 2027.

Why this is great news: If you experience a covered illness or injury and are unable to work, eligible STD benefits may begin after just 7 days instead of 14, helping provide income protection sooner and at a lower cost to you.

What this means for you: During Open Enrollment, you can elect STD coverage without providing Evidence of Insurability (EOI). EOI typically requires you to answer health questions or provide medical information before coverage can be approved. This gives you an opportunity to enroll in STD coverage without completing that additional approval process.

Effective January 1, 2027, Unum will replace Matrix as RP's carrier for Leave benefits. Your current coverage will automatically transition to Unum, so no action is required if you wish to keep your existing elections.

What this means for you:

  • No action is required to maintain your current coverage.
  • Note: If you have a leave beginning in January, please do not contact Matrix. Additional contact details will be coming soon!

RP will continue to cover GLP-1 medications for weight management for members who meet clinical eligibility requirements. Beginning in 2027, coverage will include a 20% member cost share to help maintain sustainable access to these high-cost specialty medications.

What this means for you: Review the 2027 pharmacy benefit details and talk with your healthcare provider to determine whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate for your health needs. Eligible medications will remain covered when clinical criteria are met

  • The contribution limit for the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is anticipated to increase to $3,500. You may elect up to this limit and will be contacted once the 2027 limit is released if it differs from the amount in the system.

For complete details about your 2027 benefits, review the 2027 Benefits Guide.

Open Enrollment Reminders

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): If you want to participate in the Health Care FSA, Limited Purpose FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and/or Commuter FSA, you must enroll (or re-enroll) during Open Enrollment—your previous elections do not carry over!
  • Health Savings Account (HSAs): For those enrolled in an HSA-eligible medical plan, your HSA elections do not roll over to the next plan year. Please re-elect HSA contributions for 2027 during open enrollment. You can change your HSA contributions anytime throughout the year.
  • No-Cost In-Network Preventive Care: As a reminder, in-network preventive care is fully covered under each medical plan.
  • RP Continues to Invest in Your Benefits: Radiology Partners continues to cover the majority of healthcare plan costs, helping keep high-quality coverage affordable for teammates and their families.
  • Dependent Verification: Dependent verification will be required when enrolling a dependent in coverage. See the Enrolling & Eligibility page for additional details including acceptable documentation.
  • Life and Disability Benefits Transitioning to Unum: Beginning January 1, 2027, Life, AD&D, and Disability benefits will be administered by Unum. No action is required to maintain your current coverage. As part of this transition, Open Enrollment provides a unique opportunity for teammates who wish to elect or increase eligible Life and Disability coverage. Additional enrollment details and any applicable coverage requirements will be available during Open Enrollment.

Remember: The choices you make during Open Enrollment will remain in effect for the entire 2027 plan year, and you will not have another chance to make changes until the next Open Enrollment (unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event).

An Important Note About National Healthcare Costs

(And how we’re responding to rising costs)

Healthcare costs continue to rise nationwide, with 2025 seeing another year of higher-than-average increases driven by medical inflation, specialty drug costs, and expanded use of advanced treatments. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to offering competitive, flexible benefits that support you and your family.

We recognize that any increase in your healthcare contributions can be difficult, and we want you to know we’re actively managing costs behind the scenes. This includes negotiating competitive rates, evaluating plan designs, and continuing to invest in preventive care and wellbeing programs that help you stay healthy and avoid more serious conditions down the road.

Thanks to your proactive use of preventive care and engagement with our health programs, we’ve been able to maintain strong coverage options for 2026 while keeping cost increases as low as possible. When you take steps to protect your health, you’re also helping reduce costs for yourself and your teammates.

Looking ahead, we’ll continue to evolve our benefits to meet your needs and deliver meaningful support for your total health and well-being in 2026 and beyond.

Your Open Enrollment Checklist

To Make Sure You Stay on Track During Open Enrollment, Here’s a Handy Checklist:

Read the details about Open Enrollment on this website and explore all the benefits available to you through Radiology Partners.

Review your current benefits, personal, and dependent information in Workday.

Consider enrolling in voluntary benefits.

Review your life insurance and financial account beneficiaries. While your beneficiary can be updated at any time, this is a good opportunity to make sure your designations are up to date.

Are you enrolling a dependent for the first time? You will need to verify dependent eligibility by submitting appropriate documentation or coverage will not be granted. See a list of acceptable documents to the right.

Review your dependent information and confirm a Social Security number has been provided for each dependent enrolled under your medical coverage. This is an IRS requirement and is used for year-end reporting purposes.

Once you’re ready, complete your enrollment in Workday through Okta.

Required Dependent Verification

When enrolling a dependent for the first time, you will be required to submit proof that your spouse/domestic partner or child qualifies as a dependent. Here is a list of the documentation you may need to enroll your family members:

  • Teammate’s domestic partner: copy of Domestic Partner Certification or Affidavit along with a document showing both names with their common address, dated within 60 days*
  • Teammate’s child up to age 26: copy of child’s birth certificate (hospital or state/county issued) indicating the name of the parents*
  • Teammate’s stepchild up to age 26: copy of child’s birth certificate showing relationship to teammate’s spouse/domestic partner (as required above) and documentation for teammate’s spouse/domestic partner* (as required above)
  • Child (up to 26) who is legally adopted, or placed for adoption with the teammate: copy of legal adoption or placement documents from applicable court or government agency (if the adoption or placement documents do not indicate birth date, provide a copy of the birth certificate)
  • Child (up to age 26) for whom the teammate has legal custody: copy of court decree granting custody (if the custody documents do not indicate birth date, provide a copy of the birth certificate)
